Meet the Team
Ridge serves as dean of Piedmont Virginia Community College’s two Community Self-Sufficiency Programs (Network2Work @PVCC and TJACE @PVCC) which utilize multiple resources in our community to identify and support people being left behind in our economy, and provides the training and supports they need to find quality employment in our community.
He graduated from the University of Michigan and the University of Virginia School of Law. Ridge spent 10 years on Capitol Hill serving as chief of staff to U.S. Congressman Rick Boucher and chief policy Advisor to U.S. Senator Charles S. Robb of Virginia. In 2011, Ridge published the Orange Dot Report which analyzed the economic struggles facing a considerable portion of Charlottesville’s families and suggested solutions. Ridge founded and directs the Charlottesville Works Initiative, a partnership between the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce and Piedmont Virginia Community College, to implement those solutions.

Frank serves as the Director of Network2Work @PVCC. In addition to managing the program, his focus is on encouraging local employers to offer quality employment to the network of job seekers in central Virginia.
He graduated from Saint Bonaventure University and Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. Frank has over 37 years of administrative experience in various positions. He has specialized in operations, relationship-building and customer service. He was instrumental in establishing several of the programs, services and networking at Martha Jefferson Hospital, the Church of the Incarnation and the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce, all in Charlottesville. Frank is originally from Syracuse, New York and enjoys spending time with his wife Jane, his two children and four step-children, reading, sports and playing cello in his rock band, 180.

Victoria started as an Enrollment Specialist with PVCC Workforce Services, and has made a smooth transition as the Administrative Assistant with Network2Work @PVCC.
She has a strong desire to help others, which makes the position she holds in the program a great fit. She and her husband have three beautiful children, whom they truly adore.

Monica is a native of Charlottesville and holds a Masters degree in Social Work and is currently working on her LCSW.
She has worked with adults and children who have had various mental health issues. She has also worked as a reentry social worker at a women’s prison. Having been raised by a single mother in Charlottesville, Monica knows how tough it can be in the world. She loves the idea of giving back to her community through her position at Network2Work @PVCC. Her role as the Life and Career Coach enables her to be somewhat creative while tying in her mental health background to further empower and equip Job-Seekers with the tools they need to reach self-sufficiency. The idea of helping people realize their potential through identifying areas of improvement, while empowering them to achieve their overall goal (stable employment), is something that speaks to both Monica's heart, and her mind and spirit. She believes having stable employment, with good financial management, can be life changing. Monica wants to see others have the chance to reach their full potential through accessing good paying jobs, supportive resources and personal development techniques.
In her free time, Monica enjoys working out and competing in a sport called Strongwoman. Currently, she is ranked number two in the nation for a heavyweight amateur women in this sport. Monica enjoys traveling to Ohio to see her niece, and traveling to other states to feed her more adventurous side. She considers herself an avid learner, enjoying educational and informative podcasts and audio-books; “Ear Hustle” being her current favorite podcast.
