Learning Formats

Every student’s schedule is different. That is why PVCC offers various class formats designed to meet students where they are — whether on campus, online, or somewhere in between. Earn a degree, an industry credential, or upskill in your current job with the learning format that fits your life.

In-person Classes

You will meet on campus — or occasionally off campus — on the days and times listed in the schedule. This format offers a structured setting, in-person interaction, and easier access to on-campus resources. Find your in-person classes.

7-Week Classes

Seven-week classes are intentionally designed to help students focus on one or two courses at a time, presenting a concentrated learning platform. If you seek courses with flexibility, that drive increased motivation, this learning format may be for you. Learn more about 7-week classes.

Hybrid Classes

Hybrid classes combine scheduled on-campus meetings with online learning, offering flexibility and support. You will attend in-person sessions for hands-on, interactive learning and complete the rest of your work online — either on your own time or in live virtual sessions. Find your hybrid classes.

Online Learning

Online (asynchronous) classes offer the flexibility to learn from anywhere, on a schedule that fits your life — perfect for balancing work, family, or other commitments. You will complete coursework each week and interact with your instructor and classmates through online discussion boards. Online students also have full access to support services like tutoring, advising, tech help, and library resources. Find your online classes.
