2019 Summer Academies Schedule


Ages:                Rising 1st–9th graders
Times:               A.M. Academies 8:45 a.m.–noon                                    
                           P.M. Academies 1:45–4:15 p.m.
Location:          Fluvanna County High School 
Scholarships:  KidsCollege scholarship available based on financial need. Academies are open on a space available basis.

Hands-on, fun, and enriching STEM & Arts academies provided through a partnership between Fluvanna County Public Schools, and PVCC’s KidsCollege.
Many STEM & Arts academies, including CSI Workshop, Studio Art, Minecraft, Acting and Improv, Cooking, Coding, and more!

Lunch Supervision: $20/week. Free lunch supervision if enrolled in both a.m. and p.m. academies during the same week. Bring your own lunch.
Scholarships: Scholarships available based on financial need. Visit the scholarship page for more information and application. 
Free Bus Transportation: Regional bus stop pick-up/drop-off. Please complete the parent permission form in advance.

Early & Late Care Information:

Location: Central Elemenary (Transportation to and from Fluvanna County High School provided)
Times:  Early Care Supervision: 6:30-8:30 a.m.
              Late Care Supervision: 4:15-6 p.m.

How to register online for KidsCollege @ Fluvanna

  1. Create or Update a Student Profile

    PREVIOUS STUDENTS:  All previous students have an online account with a student username and password.
    If you don't have this login information call us at 434.961.5354 or email
    ►Login with the student's username and password
    ►Carefully review and update all student profile information including email address, phone numbers and address. 

    ►Create an online student profile for each student using the student's name.
    ►Enter an email address for the primary parent or guardian.
    ►Save your username and password.

  2. Select Academies
    ►Choose academies
       • For lunch supervision: If enrolling in an a.m. and p.m. academey during the same week lunch supervision is free.
       • Apply class code: "FREE" at checkout.
       • Additional selections may be added later.

  3. Checkout Process
    At checkout, complete the following forms:

    ►Assumption of Risk/Photo Release/Student Conduct Form

    ►Student Information Form

        Sign in/out information section:
          • Students can only be signed out by names listed on this form. 
          • The adult signing the student out must present a photo ID.
          • You can add additional names later.

         Emergency Contacts section:
          • If applicable include your name
          • The first name on the list will be contacted first in the event of an emergency.
          • You can add additional names later.

        Health Needs/Special Considerations section:
          • Please list all health, learning issues, behavior issues, medical conditions and medications.

    ► Enter the school attending and grade level in the fall of 2019

    ► Checkout and payment
         • Online payments may be made by credit card or check

    You will receive a confirmation email and reminders before the academy starts.
