Judy Linden Memorial Nursing Scholarship

The Judy Linden Memorial Nursing Scholarship Fund was established in August 2022 to provide financial assistance to students enrolled in the Associate Degree Nursing Program at Piedmont Virginia Community College. PVCC has a close relationship with Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia, where Judy worked as a postpartum neonatal nurse and lactation consultant from 1995 until 2012. Today, a significant percentage of the nurses employed at Martha Jefferson are graduates of PVCC's Nursing Program.  

Judy's colleagues and the hundreds of families she supported at Martha Jefferson lovingly remember her reassuring, steady presence; her professionalism; and her humor. Judy's family and friends also remember her zest for life, her strength, her affinity for her farm and animals, and her love for her beautiful daughter, Gemma. As a graduate of a community college nursing program, Judy recognized the vital role community colleges play in helping nursing students achieve their dreams.
