Films Talk Back, "The Twinning Reaction" with Filmmaker Lori Shinseki and Illustrator Aaron Miller

This next installment of the new Films Talk Back series features a 2017 documentary film by local director and producer Lori Shinseki, who will follow up the screening with a Q&A. Shinseki will be joined by illustrator and PVCC associate professor of art Aaron Miller, who created illustrations used in the film.
"The Twinning Reaction" explores the effects of a 1960s-era nefarious scientific study in which identical twins and triplets were secretly split up and separated when adopted. Shinseki and Miller will discuss the film as well as the collaborative process.
Shinseki's long list of film credits include projects for PBS, Frontline, HBO and The Miller Center at University of Virginia. A graduate of Duke University, she received an M.A. in documentary film production from Stanford University.
Join PVCC for Films Talk Back on the third Friday of the month for popular and critically acclaimed documentaries, shown on the big screen and paired with a talk by a passionate expert–often the filmmakers themselves. Please note, no food or drink is allowed in the theatre.
