The 24-voice ensemble will perform a diverse program of works from the Renaissance era to holiday classics. Sacred music by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina and choral works by George Frideric Handel and German composer Michael Praetorius will be featured in the first half of the concert, followed by pop and jazz holiday favorites in the second half, including a “four hand” piano arrangement of Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride.”
The chorus is conducted by Horace Scruggs, PVCC's instructor of choral music, with guest artist Susan Nothnagel providing accompaniment. Now in its 18th season, the chorus is a one-credit class open to students and community members without audition. New members are always welcome.
