Agnes Fotta Scholarship | established by Albemarle County resident Agnes Fotta to support PVCC students. |
Albemarle Amateur Radio Club Scholarship | established by the AARC to provide support for students enrolled in the Industrial Electronics Technology (IET) program at PVCC. |
Albemarle County Rotary Club Foundation Scholarship | established by the Albemarle County Rotary Club to support students who have financial need. Students must be residents of Virginia and demonstrate financial need. |
Albemarle County Rotary Club Foundation Nursing Scholarship | established by the Albemarle County Rotary Club to support nursing students who have financial need. Students must be residents of Virginia and demonstrate financial need. |
Albemarle Garden Club Scholarship | established by the AGC to provide financial assistance to student at PVCC enrolled in horticulture programs. |
Albert and Lucille Colville Scholarship | established by The Clint Foundation and Albert Colville for current PVCC adult students who have financial need, are self supporting and have extensive volunteer service. |
Al and Peggy Smith Colville Scholarship | established by Al Colville in honor of Peggy Smith Colville, and in recognition of the generous support the Clint Foundation has provided to PVCC through the Al and Lucille Colville Scholarship. The fund provides support to students at PVCC who demonstrate financial need. |
Alice Webb Colvin Scholarship | established by Mrs. Colvin's daughters in honor of their mother's love for education. |
Alpha Delta Kappa Teaching Scholarship | established by the members of the Alpha Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, the scholarship goes to a female student living in the PVCC service region who plans to be a teacher. |
Altrusa International Inc. of Charlottesville Scholarship | established by a civic organization dedicated to literacy and community service to support students who have financial need and who are self-supporting. Students must have completed 15 semester hours in a degree program with a GPA of at least 2.5 at time of application and plan to enroll full time during the first semester of the award. |
Andrew E. Allen Scholarship | established in memory of a PVCC faculty member who having lost his sight in childhood carried the standard of hope and challenge to his students. Dr. Allen brought to teaching his life experience of scholarship patience and fierce determination and desire to work with people. Students must have a special need/disability demonstrate academic promise and maintain good academic standing during the term of the scholarship. |
Anne Tennant Bryan Scholarship | established by her heirs to honor Mrs. Bryan's commitment to education as a life-changing force. Students must be entering the first year of the nursing program in the fall and demonstrate financial need. |
Arboristry Associates Integrity Scholarship | established by Mike and Ellen Neal to honor the education their three sons received at PVCC and to support exemplary PVCC physical and natural science students who articulate uncompromising integrity. Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Preference will be given to students enrolled in the specialization in horticulture. |

BamaWorks Scholarship | established by Dave Matthews Band's BamaWorks Fund in the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation to make college possible for students who can demonstrate special circumstances that could prevent them from realizing their higher education goals. Students must live in the PVCC service region. |
Bass Family Scholarship | established by an Albemarle County family to support PVCC students who have financial need. |
Berdine Swenson Endowed Scholarship Fund | established to provide scholarships for nursing students at PVCC who demonstrate financial need. |
Batelle Scholarship | established by Batelle to support graduating seniors from William Monroe High School and Charlottesville High School planning to attend PVCC and pursue a career in a STEM related field. |
Beryl Solla Scholarship Fund | established in memory of Beryl Solla by her friends and colleagues at PVCC, and in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the college and the local community. The fund will provide financial assistance to students enrolled in the Arts program at PVCC. |
Betty and David Whitcomb Endowed Scholarship | established to award a student with financial need who has demonstrated the willingness and self-discipline to improve their through hard work and education. Preference will be given to individuals who have worked hard and done their best, but for personal and family reasons may be unable to further their education without financial support. |
Blue Ridge Nursing Scholarship | established by residents of Westminster-Canterbury of the Blue Ridge to honor the compassionate care they receive from health care professionals and to support women and men who wish to advance in the nursing field. Students must be enrolled in the second semester of the PVCC nursing program at time of application. |
Bob and Carroll Gilges Memorial Scholarship Fund | established by the White Hall Ruritan Club in memory of Bob and Carroll Gilges. The fund provides financial assistance to graduating seniors from White Hall or Crozet planning to attend PVCC. |
Busada Scholarship | established by Louisa County businessman John Busada to provide support for Louisa County students who enroll at PVCC. Students must be graduates of LCHS live in Louisa County and plan to be enrolled full time. They must demonstrate academic promise and financial need. |
Carpenter Parsons Endowed Scholarship | established by the Carpenter Parsons family to provide support for students enrolled at PVCC who demonstrate financial need. |
Carol Farmer Clark Nursing Scholarship | established by friends and family of Carol Farmer Clark in celebration of her 75th birthday, and in honor of her significant contributions to the nursing profession and local community. The fund provides financial assistance to nursing students enrolled at PVCC. |
Chapter AQ Virginia PEO Sisterhood Scholarship | established by Chapter AQ of the Virginia PEO Sisterhood to benefit PVCC students. Awarded to female students who have a minimum 2.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to a mother returning to school. |

Charlie Mitchell Scholarship | established by a former PVCC employee known for his work matching high school students to careers in line with their interests and skills. Students must graduate from a high school in the PVCC service region and plan to enroll in an AAS or certificate program at PVCC. |
Charlotte Louise Tate Nursing Scholarship | established by her family to honor the late Charlotte Louise Tate a nursing student whose life was cut short before she could fulfill her life-long ambition of serving her community. Students must use the scholarship for their second year of nursing program. They must have a 3.5 GPA or higher and express a commitment to the nursing profession and articulate a desire to contribute to the Charlottesville/Albemarle community. |
Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce - Piedmont Virginia Community College Scholarship | established by the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, with the recommendation of the 21st Century Chamber Development Fund donors, the endowed scholarship is for a full-time student who is employed a Chamber of Commerce member or affiliate. The student must be pursuing a PVCC Degree in any field of business, management, technology or science and must maintain a 2.5 GPA. The Chamber of Commerce scholarship is renewable for two years. |
Chef Eric Breckoff Scholarship Funds | established by friends and family in memory of Eric Breckoff and in recognition of his love of teaching and dedication to students. The fund provides scholarship assistance to students enrolled in the culinary arts program at PVCC. |
Chica Tenney Scholarship for the Visual Arts | established by family friends and former students of PVCC Professor Emerita Chica Tenney to honor her legacy as an extraordinarily gifted teacher and mentor her significance as a regional artist and her unique contribution to the Central Virginia arts community. The scholarship is open to students enrolled in at least one art class when they apply and planning to take at least one art class in each semester while they study at PVCC. In addition to the normal scholarship application process applicants will be required to submit a portfolio. |
Clint Foundation Scholarship | established by Al Colville in honor of John McClintock, and in recognition of their life-long friendship and the generous support the Clint Foundation has provided to PVCC through the Albert and Lucille Colville Scholarship. The funds provides support to PVCC students who demonstrate financial need. |
Chris Breiner Scholarship in Viticulture and Enology | established by family and friends of Chris Breiner as a memorial to his contribution to the Virginia wine industry. |
Commonwealth Legacy Scholarship | established by the Virginia Community College System to honor leaders in philanthropy from the 23 community colleges in the VCCS. Students must be a high school graduate in that year in the PVCC service region and demonstrate leadership qualities. |

Darlene Cook Culinary Arts Scholarship | established by the Central Virginia Chapter of the School Nutrition Association to honor the service and commitment made by Darlene Cook. |
David and Carolyn Beach Scholarship | established by David and Carolyn Beach to provide financial support for students enrolled in credential programs through the College's Workforce Services Division. |
Dirickson Family Scholarship | established by the Dirickson Family to support business students at PVCC. Students must be in the second semester of a business program at the time they apply and must have and maintain a 3.0 GPA. |
Easton Porter Group Scholarship for Culinary Arts | established by the Easton Porter group to provide financial assistance to students enrolled in the culinary arts program at PVCC. |
Ed Ford Scholarship | established by Edward R. Ford's daughter, Kathleen, in honor of his years of service as a bricklayer and construction company owner. |
Edmund Berkeley Scholarship | established and endowed by the Faculty Professional Association in honor of Professor Berkeley a member of PVCC's founding faculty. It is presented by the Faculty Senate to a currently enrolled student with a record of academic achievement who demonstrates potential for continuing academic success. Students must have completed 12 semester hours with a minimum 3.0 GPA at time of application. |

Updike to her family, community and American Legion Auxiliary. Through her leadership she taught many exceptional students at Girls State of Virginia in the democratic process, citizenship and high ethical standards while demonstrating the highest commitment to her nursing profession. |

Hunter Campbell Memorial Scholarship | established by family and friends of Hunter Campbell to recognize students who demonstrate excellence in the culinary arts program at PVCC. |
Irene O. Southall Nursing Scholarship | established by the late Professor Emerita Southall who served as program head for nursing at PVCC for six years. This scholarship is a continuing expression of her support of motivated and deserving students. Students must be entering the nursing program in the fall of 2012 demonstrate financial need and academic promise and maintain good standing in the academic and clinical components of the nursing program. |
Jack Groet Memorial First Generation Scholarship | established by Lynn Pribus to honor her father. This scholarship is to help a student who is the first in their family from another land to seek higher education in this country or a student who is lacking family support (biography attached). |

Nicole Leigh Thompson Scholarship | established by David and Audrey Thompson in memory of their daughter Nicole who died in 1996. The scholarship is awarded annually to a graduate of Western Albemarle High School where Nicole graduated in 1995. Students must be a graduate of WAHS and plan to be enrolled full time demonstrate academic promise and financial need. |

Seaman Family Scholarship | established as a memorial to the parents of a former PVCC instructor to support a student in an AAS or certificate program at PVCC. Through this fund family and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Seaman wish to encourage students to follow their excellent example of self-reliance and service to others. |
Schwartz-Rainville Endowed Scholarship Fund | established by Baron Schwartz and Lynn Rainville to provide financial assistance to students enrolled at PVCC who demonstrate financial need. |
SGA E.D. Holton Scholarship | established to help a female PVCC student of any age who is working toward her first undergraduate degree. The applicant must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, must take at least 9 credit hours per semester and have a successful completion rate of 67% or higher. |
SGA Joe McMurry Scholarship | established to help a PVCC SGA member who is working toward their first undergraduate degree and plan to transfer to a four year school. The recipient must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA, at least nine credit hours per semester and a successful completion rate of 67% or higher of all credits enrolled. |
S. Hopkins General Engineering Scholarship | established in 2024 to provide financial assistance to students enrolled in information technology, engineering, and related fields of study at PVCC who demonstrate financial need. |
Smyth Scholarship for Nursing | established by the Smyth Foundation Fund in the CACF. The scholarship was established for current PVCC students who are Virginia residents and has been accepted into the Nursing Program. There is an opportunity to renew following successful completion of the first year with a 3.0 GPA. |
SRC Engineering Scholarship Fund | established by SRC, Inc. to provide financial assistance to students enrolled at PVCC in engineering related programs and demonstrate financial need. |
Stehlik-Hassler Scholarship | established by Elena Prien to honor her parents. Her mother came to the United States from what was then Czechoslovakia at the age of 11. Her father's parents were immigrants, also from Czechoslovakia. |
Student Success Fund | established to assistance students with financial need and who are not able to receive financial aid. |
Susan B. Chartres Scholarship | established to remember a former PVCC faculty member who gave generously to the college and the community through her love of French language and culture her musical talents and her appreciation of human nature and the human experience. Students must be a female enrolled in a transfer program at time of application demonstrate academic promise and articulate definite educational and career goals be enrolled full time and maintain a 3.0 GPA. |
Susie N. Blair Scholarship | Given to honor a Scottsville native who taught drama and English for 35 years at Hollins College and was a leader of church civic and cultural affairs in Scottsville. Student must live in the Scottsville area or southern Albemarle County plan to be enrolled full time. Demonstrate academic ability and financial need and articulate career goals. |
Tamyra Kaye Turner Scholarship Fund | established by the Albemarle Charlottesville chapter of the NAACP in memory of Tamyra Turner. The fund provides financial assistance to students enrolled at PVCC in liberal arts with a goal of transferring to a four-year college or university. |
Timothy Abbott Scholarship | established in memory of PVCC respiratory therapy graduate Timothy Abbott. Students must be enrolled in the second semester of the PVCC nursing program at time of application and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. |
Tros-Dale Scholarship (for current students) | established from the assets of a Scottsville group home that closed in the 1980s to assist PVCC students with academic promise and financial need. The Tros-Dale Board agreed to donate the home's assets to PVCC because many of the college's students have the same needs as the boys who lived at the home. Students must be residents of the PVCC service region maintain a 2.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need. |

Tucker Bishop Memorial Scholarship | Established by Buz and Sara Bishop in memory of their son Tucker, whose courage, humor, compassion, and grace in the face of severe hardship inspired all who knew him. Through this scholarship Tucker's parents wish to encourage students with disabilities to pursue their dreams of college. To be eligible, you must have a special need such as physical or learning disability and plan to be enrolled for at least 12 hours a semester for the year of the award. |
V. Earl Dickinson Scholarship | established by friends of the Honorable V. Earl Dickinson to recognize his 40-year career in public service in Louisa County and in the Virginia House of Delegates. Students must graduate from LCHS with unweighted GPA of at least 3.0 enroll full time and articulate well-thought-out educational and career goals. |
Valley Proteins Fellows Scholarship | The students for this scholarship are recommended by the scholarship program at PVCC, recommended by a faculty member and endorsed by the President. |
Virginia Vermiculite Ltd. Scholarship | established by a Louisa County business to support PVCC students from Louisa County. Students must have graduated from LCHS, live in Louisa County and plan to be enrolled full time demonstrate academic potential and have financial need. |
W. Earle Crank Scholarship | Given by Mrs. Phyloise Crank Hunt in memory of her father W. Earle Crank a former Commonwealth's Attorney for Louisa County. Awarded to a graduating Louisa County High School student planning to enroll in a transfer program at PVCC. Students must demonstrate academic potential and have financial need. |
W.I.S.E. Scholarship | established by the WISE Women, LLC of Keswick, VA to assist a single mother who is striving to do better for themselves and their family. The student should maintain a 2.0 GPA. |
Walt Levering Scholarship | established to honor the memory of Walt Levering by his family and friends. The student should be enrolled in a computer science or information technology program. |
Watterson Honors Scholarship | established by the children of John W. Watterson Jr. who worked his way through Western Reserve University in Cleveland in the 1920s. Because his family did not have the means Watterson was forced to delay college for a year. Once he got to college he was a very gifted and versatile student. Students must be enrolled in the PVCC Honors Program and demonstrate financial need. |
Westminster Canterbury of the Blue Ridge Endowed Scholarship | established by Bob and Leah Yost to support WCBR associates or family members of WCBR associates attending PVCC. |
William J. Kehoe Scholarship | established for a female or a minority have a GPA of at least 3.0 and be enrolled in the business administration degree. |
William Newman Nursing Scholarship | established to provide financial assistance to students enrolled in the nursing program at PVCC. |
Woodrow W. Bolick Scholarship | established by family and friends to honor the memory of a long-time friend of PVCC. The student center in PVCC's main building also is named for Mr. Bolick a founding member of the PVCC Board and the one credited with choosing the college's name. Students must be residents of the PVCC service region demonstrate academic promise and financial need. |
UNLAD Scholarship | established to provide financial assistance to young-adult learners at PVCC enrolled in workforce related programs of study who are immigrants, first-generation Americans or children of immigrants. |
