Division of Community Self-Sufficiency Programs

PVCC’s Division of Community Self-Sufficiency (CSS) Programs houses two overarching programs:

• Network2Work@PVCC, which identifies and supports no- and low-wage workers striving to climb the economic ladder, focuses on connecting local employers with quality job seekers by recruiting, training, and supporting individuals throughout the community who have the interest and ability to excel in available jobs.
• Thomas Jefferson Adult and Career Education (TJACE@PVCC), which helps area adults enhance their core skills to get their high school diploma or GED®, and helps improve reading, writing, and speaking skills for both non-native English speakers and speakers of other languages. 

PVCC’s program serves the college’s entire service region, which includes the city of Charlottesville and the counties of Albemarle, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson.
