Crisis Counseling Resources

ON THE PVCC CAMPUS

Just need a friendly face? While not licensed counselors, we have trained staff available from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday in the Admissions and Advising Office. No appointment is needed. Call 434.961.6581 or come to the office and ask for the staff person on duty (staff and faculty may call ext. 7777 on campus to be connected directly).

TimelyCare: Feeling stressed or overwhelmed? TimelyCare provides free virtual access to licensed providers for your mental health needs. Register your account now so you can have it later! Start a visit from anywhere in the United States. TimelyCare service provides access to 24/7 care at not cost to PVCC students. Students can talk to a licensed provider from any web-enabled device: smartphone, laptop, or desktop. Services include 24/7 chat, scheduled individual counseling sessions, and group self-care sessions. Create your profile by visiting timelycare or downloading the TimelyCare app.

On-campus referrals: PVCC does not offer mental health services. However, PVCC has a partnership with Region Ten Emergency Services that allows our students to be seen by a Region Ten counselor within 24 hours or as an emergency. In case of a mental health crisis, college counselors and the dean of student services will help set up this appointment at no cost to the student.

OFF CAMPUS

Should you experience a mental health crisis off campus outside of normal college business hours, please call Region Ten Emergency Services at  434.972.1800  or call 911.
