Child-Care Services at the YMCA Intergenerational Learning Center
Child-care services for children of PVCC students and employees is available through the Piedmont Family YMCA at its Intergenerational Learning Center (YILC) conveniently located in the Jefferson School City Center at 233 Fourth Street NW, Suite Y, in downtown Charlottesville.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
Ages: Six weeks - 5 years.

Need Child Care While You Attend Fall 2014 Classes at PVCC?
Apply for a CCAMPIS* Child Care Subsidy!
The CCAMPIS grant can help up to 20 qualifying lower-income students with child care costs while fall classes are in session. The child care services will be provided by the Piedmont YMCA at the Jefferson School City Center, 233 Fourth St. NW, in downtown Charlottesville.
Grant Application Period:
June 16 through July 4, 2014
Who is Eligible to Apply?
PVCC students who apply for the subsidy must be:
- Pell eligible (Complete the online FAFSA to determine if you are Pell eligible)
- Enrolled in a degree or certificate program at PVCC
- Enrolled in at least 6 credit hours
- In good academic standing (meeting satisfactory academic progress or SAP)
Full-time students and veterans will receive priority. Awards are subject to availability of funds and of age-appropriate slots at the YMCA’s child care programs. The Piedmont YMCA is licensed to offer full-day licensed child care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, and evening Child Watch services from 6-10 p.m. for children ages 3 to 12 years.
