  • MTH 157 - Elementary Statistics
    Presents elementary statistical methods and concepts, including descriptive statistics, estimation, hypothesis testing, linear regression, and categorical data analysis. Credit will not be awarded for both MTH 157 and MTH 240. Prerequisite Competency in MTE 1 through 5 as demonstrated through the placement and diagnostic tests, or by satisfactorily completing the required MTE units or SAT score greater than or equal to 520 or ACT score greater than or equal to 20. Lecture 3 hours per week.
  • MTH 240 - Statistics
    Presents an overview of statistics, including descriptive statistics, elementary probability, probability distributions, estimation, hypothesis testing, and correlation and regression. Also covers analysis of variance. Credit cannot be awarded for both MTH 157 and MTH 240. Prerequisite Satisfies V.P.T prerequisites for MTH 240 or MTH 270 or completion of MTH 163 or MTH 180 or SAT II math score greater than or equal to 680. Lecture 3 hours per week.
