PHY 201 General College Physics I (4 cr, F)
Teaches fundamental principles of physics. Covers mechanics, thermodynamics, wave phenomena, electricity and magnetism, and selected topics in modern physics.
Lecture 3 hours.
Laboratory 3 hours.
Total 6 hours per week.
Prerequisites: MTH 164 is a prerequisite for PHY 201. PHY 201 is a prerequisite for PHY 202.
Co-requisite: PHY 201 laboratory for PHY 201 and PHY 202 laboratory for PHY 202.
PHY 201 General College Physics II (4 cr, Sp)

Prerequisite: MTH 173 is a prerequisite for PHY 241 or AP Calculus score (AB or BC) of 3. MTH 174 and PHY 241 are prerequisites for PHY 242.
