JPN 101 Beginning Japanese I (4 cr, F)

Develops the understanding, speaking, reading, and writing of Japanese, and emphasizes the structure of the language.

Lecture 4 hours per week. Includes one additional hour of oral practice per week.

JPN 102 Beginning Japanese II (4 cr, Sp)

Develops the understanding, speaking, reading, and writing of Japanese, and emphasizes the structure of the language.

Lecture 4 hours per week. Includes one additional hour of oral practice per week.

JPN 201 Intermediate Japanese I (3 cr, IR)

Continues the development of the skills of understanding, speaking, reading, and writing of Japanese. Classes conducted in Japanese.

Lecture 3-4 hours per week. Includes one additional hour of oral practice per week.
Prerequisite: JPN 102 is the prerequisite for JPN 201.

JPN 202 Intermediate Japanese II (3 cr, IR)

Continues the development of the skills of understanding, speaking, reading, and writing of Japanese. Classes conducted in Japanese.

Lecture 3-4 hours per week. Includes one additional hour of oral practice per week.
Prerequisite: JPN 201 is the prerequisite for JPN 202.
