ITA 101 Beginning Italian I (4 cr, Sp)

Develops the understanding, speaking, reading, and writing of Italian and emphasizes the structure of the language.

Lecture 4 hours per week. Includes one additional hour of oral lab practice per week.

ITA 102 Beginning Italian II (4 cr, Sp)

Develops the understanding, speaking, reading, and writing of Italian and emphasizes the structure of the language.

Lecture 4 hours per week. Includes one additional hour of oral lab practice per week.

ITA 111 Basic Spoken Italian I (3 cr, IR)

Teaches oral communication, and introduces the student to cultural mores and customs, Recommended for students with no prior instruction in the language.

Lecture 3 hours per week.

ITA 112 Basic Spoken Italian II (3 cr, IR)

Teaches oral communication, and introduces the student to cultural mores and customs, Recommended for students with no prior instruction in the language.

Lecture 3 hours per week.

ITA 201 Intermediate Italian I (3 cr, F)

Continues development of skills of understanding, speaking, reading, and writing of Italian. Classes conducted in Italian.

Lecture 3 hours per week.
Prerequisite: ITA 102 or equivalent is the prerequisite for ITA 201.

ITA 202 Intermediate Italian II (3 cr, Sp)

Continues development of skills of understanding, speaking, reading, and writing of Italian. Classes conducted in Italian.

Lecture 3 hours per week.
Prerequisite: ITA 201 is the prerequisite for ITA 202.
