Introduces understanding, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Emphasizes basic French sentence structure.

Continues to develop understanding, speaking, reading, and writing skills. French is used in the classroom.
Lecture 3 hours per week.
Prerequisite: French 102 or equivalent is the prerequisite for FRE 201. FRE 201 is the prerequisite for FRE 202.
FRE 212 Intermediate French Conversation II (3 cr, IR)
Continues to develop fluency through emphasis on idioms and other complex sentence structures.
Prerequisite: French 202 or equivalent.
