Charlottesville, Va. – Piedmont Virginia Community College’s Student Art Club continues its popular Free Movie Friday series with the Academy Award-nominated dark comedy The Wolf of Wall Street on Friday, March 28, at 7:30 p.m. in the Main Stage of the V. Earl Dickinson Building.
Directed by Martin Scorsese and based on a true story, The Wolf of Wall Street tells the story of Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio), from his rise to a wealthy stockbroker living the high life to his fall involving crime, corruption and the federal government. Set in the late 1980s, Belfort’s temptations were for the taking, the threat of the authorities was irrelevant and more was never enough. The film is rated R for strong sexual content, graphic nudity, drug use, language and violence.
The Dickinson Building is located at the south end of College Drive, and ample, free well-lit parking is located in front of the building. The Main Stage Theatre is wheelchair accessible.
