Charlottesville, VA -Piedmont Virginia Community College's dance program presents its annual fall concert with works choreographed and performed by students and faculty on Dec. 6 and 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Main Stage Theatre in the V. Earl Dickinson Building.
From modern dance and hip-hop to a contemporary twist on musical theatre, this original concert features four new works by PVCC students with a variety of dance backgrounds including hip-hop, gymnastics and ballet. In addition, Michelle Cooper and Faith Levine, instructors of dance, will present excerpts from original choreographies featured at local dance venues in the past year. The concert is produced by Cooper and Julia Vessey, instructor of dance.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for seniors and students. Tickets are available by calling the PVCC Box Office and charging them to a VISA or MasterCard, or by purchasing them at Sidetracks, University of Virginia Arts Box Office, Greenberry's Coffee (Barracks Road Shopping Center) and the PVCC Cashier's Office during normal business hours. They can also be purchased at the PVCC Box Office window two hours before the performance.
All events take place in the V. Earl Dickinson Building, located at the south end of College Drive. Ample, free well-lit parking is located in front of the building.
