Charlottesville, VA - Piedmont Virginia Community College continues its 2011-12 Dance Master Class season with a jazz dance class taught by Suzanne Miller-Corso, associate professor of dance at James Madison University. The class is from noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 24, in the Main Stage Theatre of the V. Earl Dickinson Building. Cost of the class is $10 per participant.
The class will begin with warm-up and stretching exercises to ensure a safe and healthy experience for the body. As the class progresses, participants will learn the building blocks of jazz dance by combining popular dance moves with the fundamentals of jazz dance technique. Jazz shoes are suggested but not required for this lively class open to all levels of dancers.
