Charlottesville, VA - Piedmont Virginia Community College continues its 2011-12 Dance Master Class season with "Riffs, Rhythms and Rolls," a tap dance class taught by Geri Carlson Sauls, faculty member at Brushwood's School of Dance in Gordonsville. The class is from noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25, in the Main Stage Theatre of the V. Earl Dickinson Building. Cost of the class is $10 per participant.
The class is for all levels of dancers, ages ten and above. Tap shoes are not required. Participants should be dressed comfortably and come ready to move.
Sauls received her tap dance teaching certification from the American Tap Dance Institute and continues to train by attending dance festivals around the country. Her most recent projects include choreographing "The Producers" at Live Arts in Charlottesville and directing "Stepping Out" for Four County Players community theater in Barboursville.
