E-book collections
Books@OVID provide access to full-text nursing titles. Topics covered include care plans, nursing diagnosis and pathophysiology. Available to current PVCC faculty, staff and students from both on and off campus.
Gale Virtual Reference Collection is a set of electronic encyclopedias and reference books covering a wide variety of subjects and disciplines, such as health and medicine, history and criminal justice. Available to current PVCC faculty, staff and students from both on and off campus.
NetLibrary, a shared collection of academic e-books from major university, trade and professional publishers, is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from any location. To use a NetLibrary online book from any off-campus computer, you will need to create an account while you are on campus. For more information, call 434.961.5308.
Oxford Reference Online Core Collection is a set of general and subject-specific dictionaries and encyclopedias. Available to current PVCC faculty, staff and students from both on and off campus.
Safari Books is a collection of online books, covering computer-related topics from blogs to IT management. Available only through computers on campus and to current PVCC faculty, staff and students from off campus.
