Literature Criticism Online, comprised of Contemporary Literary Criticism, Poetry Criticism and Short Story Criticism, profiles selected authors and provides excerpts from critical analyses of their works.

Literature Resource Center has critical analyses, biographical information and bibliographies of authors and their works.

MLA International Bibliography provides access to more than 1.5 million bibliographic citations to journal articles, books and dissertations from 1963 to the present in academic disciplines including language, literature, literary theory and criticism, folklore, linguistics and the dramatic arts.

Gale Virtual Reference Collection is a set of electronic encyclopedias and reference books. Includes Scribner Writers Online and Twayne's Authors Online.

EBSCO (for mobile devices) provides citations and abstracts or the full text of articles.

Contemporary Novelists contains biographical/critical essays about the most important living novelists writing in English throughout the world.

Contemporary Poets provides biographical and bibliographical information on 789 of the world's most important contemporary English-language poets.

CQ Researcher explores a single issue in the news in depth each week. Topics range from social and teen issues to environment, science and technology, health and education. Experienced journalists write the 12,000-word reports, which include comments from experts, lawmakers and citizens on all sides of the topic.

First Search has databases that can be searched for citations to journals and books.

Project Muse is a database with more than 300 full-text journals covering a wide range of topics, including literature, social science and theatre.
