Interlibrary Loan Request Form

Through the interlibrary loan service, PVCC faculty, staff and students currently enrolled in a degree program may request books or journal articles for course related materials that the Jessup Library does not own. If you fill out the information below, the library staff will request the book or article from another library and let you know when you may pick it up from the Jessup Library. Articles may be available as quickly as 24 hours from the time the library makes the request and books usually arrive in two to four days. You may request as many as six articles and three books at one time. Additional requests may not be made until the original items are delivered. The Jessup Library cannot borrow course textbooks or other books used as texts.

Please check the Jessup Library Catalog, EBSCO and Online Journal Locator to verify that the book or the full text article is not in this library. If you have any questions, please call 434.961.5309. Please complete and submit the form below.

Copyright warning: The copyright law of the U.S. (Title 17, U.S. Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted materials. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of the specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship or research." If a user makes a request for or later uses a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.

Lost or Damaged Books: If a book is damaged or lost, the requestor is responsible for the fee charged by the lending library.
