At PVCC's Construction Academy, you can train for "green jobs" to meet the predicted growth in renewable energy industries. Partial funding for this initiative comes from the U.S. Department of Labor grant that established the Construction Academy at PVCC.
Earn a Certificate
Classes in basic carpentry, masonry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and weatherization skills are offered through our Building Trades Career Studies Certificates that you can earn in one year or less of study. These certificates include First Aid/CPR, employability skills, basics of print reading, and OSHA-30 certification to prepare you for jobs with local contractors.
Take a Few Classes
Highlighted for the spring are classes in both BPI and RESNET certification, in addition to LEED exam preparation and solar installer certification. Construction Academy Spring Schedule.
Train for Licensing and Management
For those already in business, the Construction Academy also offers classes including contractor licensing and license management courses.
