Planning and PVCC
Planning at PVCC is guided by the College's mission. The planning process is coordinated by the Office of Institutional Research, Planning and Institutional Effectiveness. Leadership for planning is provided by the college's Planning and Budgeting Committee which oversees development and periodic review of the Strategic Plan and ensures a linkage between strategic planning and budgeting by recommending annual funding levels for strategic priorities.
Strategic Plan
The 2011 PVCC Strategic Plan addresses four institutional priorities: [1] Student Completion and Success, [2] Access to Education, [3] Excellence in Instruction and Student Support and [4] Resources to Support Teaching and Learning.
Strategic Initiative Proposals and Priorities
Want to start a new initiative? Serve our students in a different way? Equip your classroom, center, lab or studio? Develop your staff? Pilot a program? Add faculty or staff positions in your department? Submit a strategic initiative proposal!
Instructions and proposal forms are sent to the PVCC community each January. Proposals are reviewed by the Planning and Budgeting Committee and recommendations for funding priority are sent to the President by mid-April. In July, proposal authors receive information about the funding status of their proposals.
Annual Planning
Annual unit plans reflect the shorter-term work at the department/division level necessary to achieve institutional goals. All 2010-11 PVCC Annual Unit Plans must be completed in WEAVEonline. Complete 10-11 Unit Plans are due June 30, 2011. For assistance, please contact tatkins-brady@pvcc.edu
Working Calendar
PVCC also utilizes a Working Calendar for managing important annual administrative tasks.
