POSITION TITLE:  Part-time Security Officer

POSITION NUMBER: 

DIVISION/OFFICE:  Buildings and Grounds

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:  Security Supervisor

 

Purpose: 

Piedmont Virginia Community College is seeking a part-time security officer. Shifts are available evenings and weekends.

 

Reference, criminal background and fingerprint checks required.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

These positions guard, patrol, and monitor the campus to prevent theft, violence, parking violations or infraction of rules; and upon request, will accompany students, faculty, and visitors to their cars after hours.

 

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Valid driver's license

• Must pass a background check

Preferred:  

• Previous security experience (ex-law enforcement, military or firefighter)
