Purpose:

The nursing program at PVCC is currently recruiting for part-time faculty positions for Fall semester 2008.

Reference, criminal background, and fingerprint checks required.

The nursing program at PVCC is currently recruiting for the following part-time faculty positions for Fall semester 2008:  

1)     Clinical faculty for evenings and weekends for second-year psychiatric rotation. BSN and 3 years recent clinical experience in psychiatric nursing required.  MSN and recent experience preferred. 

2)    Clinical faculty for weekdays and Saturday or Sunday days for beginning Fundamentals and advanced Medical-Surgical nursing students.  BSN and 3 years recent clinical experience in acute care medical-surgical nursing required.   MSN and recent clinical experience preferred.

Bachelor’s degree with major in teaching field and two years related experience

Certificate (non-degree)

High School diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred) and ten years related occupational experience.

Remedial/Developmental Education

Bachelor’s degree with major in teaching field and two years related experience.

In exceptional cases, outstanding professional experience and demonstrated contributions to the teaching field may be presented in lieu of formal academic preparation for any of the categories shown above. Exceptions must be fully justified on an individual basis. Such justification will be made in writing by the appropriate division dean and endorsed in writing by the VP of Instruction and Student Services.
