This orientation is designed to familiarize new and prospective students with Piedmont Virginia Community College's online learning environment. We make every effort to provide you with the tools and support you need to meet your learning goals. However, to ensure your success as an online student you should be aware of the computer aptitude and technical requirements. To verify that you meet these minimum requirements, please complete the self evaluation below before taking an online course.

You should verify that your computer meets the technical requirements before taking an online course.
There is not an official aptitude requirement for web course students. However, you should be aware of the computer and study skills necessary in order to successfully complete an online course. Once you feel confident that online learning is right for you, you should register for the web course and then click the Start links at the top of bottom of this page to begin the online orientation. If you have any questions about these aptitude tests or hardware requirements, please email bbsupport@pvcc.edu. We'll be glad to help you determine if an online course is right for you.
