Using Blackboard and E-mail
You will be using the Blackboard Online Course Management System to access your web course. In order to use Blackboard, you must first obtain your username.
Obtaining your username:
Click on the VCCS link
Look up your username and set your password.
- Enter your last name
- Enter you first name
- Type in your birth date
- Type in your social security number
- Click submit
You are taken to a password reset page. Follow the on-screen directions. After submitting the page, you will see your username.
If you cannot find your username:
E-mail bbsupport@pvcc.edu include your FULL NAME, your Student ID / EmplID and the best way to contact you.
Note that your Blackboard username is also your VCCS e-mail username and your Virtual Library of Virginia (VIVA) account name.
Now you're getting closer to actually accessing your course.
