How to Browse Credit Classes Through the Student Information System

Current Students:

  1. Go to http://pv.my.vccs.edu/, and log in with your user name and password.
  2. Click on VCCS SIS89Student Information System.
  3. Click on Self Service in the menu window on left.
  4. Click Class Search/Browse Catalog.
  5. Select Browse Catalog.
  6. Click Go.
  7. Click the letter of the alphabet that corresponds to the name of the class.
    Example Click "M" for Mathematics.
  8. Click the course Description for details about the class, or click View Class Sections to see when and where the class meets.

Prospective Students and Guests:

  1. Go to http://sa.vccs.edu/.
  2. Click on Guest.
  3. Click on Self Service in the menu window on left.
  4. Click Class Search/Browse Catalog.
  5. In the Institution drop-down menu, select Piedmont Virginia Community College.
  6. In the Term drop-down menu, the selection automatically defaults to the current semester. Make another selection if desired.
  7. Select Browse Catalog.
  8. Click Go.
  9. Click the letter of the alphabet that corresponds to the name of the class.
    Example Click "M" for Mathematics.
  10. Click the course Description for details about the class, or click View Class Sections to see when and where the class meets.
  11. If you want to take a class, apply to PVCC and receive your student identification number (also referred to as the EmplID). Then follow these steps to register.
