You may be awarded academic credit at PVCC for work experience, noncredit courses, life experience or other nontraditional learning experiences if you are:
- Enrolled in a program of study at PVCC, and
- Can demonstrate that your previous educational study, training or work experience is equivalent to the content and learning outcomes for classes in your selected program of study.
Credit by local exam is available for these courses only. See PVCC policy Credit for Nontraditional Learning for additional credit options for credit by exam.
Note: Credit awarded for prior learning does not meet "credit hours in residence" required for PVCC graduation, and credit received through prior learning is not usually transferable to other colleges and universities.
