PVCC requires that you take a placement test if you are:

• A new student pursuing a degree or certificate
• A new student applying for financial aid
• Taking classes that have English or math prerequisites
• Not a high school graduate and do not have a GED

Before taking your placement test, you must apply for admission to PVCC.

Where to Take Placement Tests
You may take placement tests at your convenience in the Learning Center at PVCC. Ordinarily you do not need an appointment. However, if you have never used a computer or if you have special needs, please e-mail the Learning Center staff in advance for an appointment.
