At PVCC, you can pursue a degree then transfer to a four-year school, earn a career certificate, update your job skills with a few classes, or simply take a course for the sheer joy of learning. Our affordable tuition is approximately one-third that of a four-year Virginia College or university, there is no application fee and financial aid is available for qualifying students. Open Admissions for Full-Time or Part-Time Students
You may attend PVCC full time or part time. A full-time student carries 12 or more course credits (typically four classes) while a part-time student carries fewer than 12 course credits. Our open admissions policy means that high school graduates and individuals with a GED may apply, or, if you are at least 18 years old and do not have a diploma or GED, you still can attend PVCC if you take placement tests to qualify for admission.
