Summary of the Event:
Over the two-day event, we will host eight high schools. Each day is divided into morning (9:40-11:15a.m.) and afternoon (11:50 a.m.-1:25 p.m.) sessions, with two high schools attending each session. There are two 45-minute presentations featuring a wide variety of career panels scheduled during each session. We provide light morning refreshments and also lunch (including vegetarian options) from 11:15 - 11:45 each day.
Based on feedback from school counselors and students last year, we have revised the format and now offer Career Panels featuring 2-3 speakers representing careers in related fields. In addition, students were asked to choose from a list of careers rather than a specific job title. This year's career panels reflect the survey results and students' career field choices and, we believe, will allow students to learn about more jobs within a particular field. We ask that presenters address their own careers and all other careers suggested in their career panel.
